Digital Marketing Communications Specialist

Job Description:
We are looking for talented digital marketing communications specialist with a focus on PR outreach and link acquisition. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years experience in developing and promoting SEO content, have established writer presences on multiple edited contribution websites, and be proficient at managing and growing social media presences.

This position is available for 20-40 hours/week. We find proven outreach and link acquisition for SEO to be what differentiates professionals in this field, and will be a primary factor in hiring for full-time work. If your experience is predominately on-page SEO and content development, we may still have a part-time opportunity for you to contribute to our team.

As a remote team, location is not important. However, there is a need to regularly communicate promptly within US business hours, especially for the purpose of social media.

Core Responsibilities:

SEO Research: Keyword research, competitor analysis, rank tracking, keyword targets & strategy
On-Page Optimization: Titles, metadata, site structures, internal linking, content review, on-page content tagging
Outreach & Link Acquisition: Effectively build and maintain contact lists, acquire targeted link placements, develop outreach plans
PR & Guest Contributions: Press release writing, optimization, and distribution. Guest posts and content contributions with the purpose of PR and link acquisition
Content Marketing: Blogging, editing contributor submissions, optimizing blogs and articles, content development, infographic planning, other media creation (e.g. Powerpoints)
Social Media Management: Keeping social presences up-to-date, monitoring, interaction, and engagement growth through organic means

Additional Opportunities:

Organic Search Setups: Keyword research, competitive analysis, onsite plans, content reviews, and technical audits
Local SEO: On-page optimization for local businesses, local business profile setup and optimization, citation quality, local link acquisition, local metadata
Analytics: Knowledge of Google Analytics to benchmark KPI’s and measure performance, and develop custom reports based on business objectives and KPI’s for organic and social traffic acquisition
Project Management: Work with the design, development, and content team to execute larger promotions.
Reporting: Provide comprehensive reports based on client goals.

Qualifications & Education:

2-4 years experience in Digital Communications
Native English fluency
Excellent communication and writing skills
Basic HTML & ability to format for the web
Google Analytics knowledge (certification a plus)

Compensation
Compensation is determined on experience. A well-qualified individual in a full-time contractor position would be offered a compensation package valued from 45k-60k USD.
